Abstract: Aim: Teeth displacement during denture processing is a very important factor and it deserves attention from professionals and researchers, in order to achieve smaller dimensional changes and good clinical performance. Thus, the purpose of this study was to review the literature about teeth displacement in complete dentures processing. Method: A review of the scientific literature was made to verify the different factors that cause teeth displacement of complete dentures. Results and conclusion: The displacement of the artificial teeth in complete dentures is inevitable and can be an occurrence that can decrease in intensity; however, it cannot be completely eliminated during the complete denture processing.

Key words: complete denture, teeth displacement, cause and consequence of the tooth displacement.
