SOA en Automatización de Pymes Manufactureras

Resumen: En la actualidad los sistemas productivos de una Pyme manufacturera no están listos para las arquitecturas orientadas a servicios (SOA) y, como consecuencia, el proceso de migración hacia la automatización basada en SOA debe realizarse paso a paso organizando la coexistencia de nuevas tecnologías con aquéllas preexistentes. De esta forma se minimiza el riesgo financiero, hecho particularmente importante en el caso de una Pyme a la vez que, se aprovecha la oportunidad para adquirir experiencia acerca de las fortalezas y debilidades del paradigma SOA. Una parte importante del proceso de migración es la integración, directa o indirecta, en el mundo SOA de los sistemas preexistentes y, objetivo de esta contribución que intenta ofrecer un panorama general del tema, primer paso en el mapa de ruta de SOA en la automatización de una Pyme manufacturera.

Abstract: Nowadays productive systems of manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are not Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) ready and, as a result, the migration process towards a SOA-based automation must be done step by step organizing the coexistence of new and legacy technologies. This minimizes the financial risk, particularly important in the case of an SME, and gives them the opportunity to gain experience about the strengths and weaknesses of the SOA paradigm. An important part of the migration process is the integration, direct or indirect, of legacy systems into the SOA world, first step on the roadmap to SOA based-automation of manufacturing SMEs and aim of this contribution which attempts to provide an overview of the topic.
